Installation of hydrogen removal devices in such environments is crucial to mitigate hydrogen risks. Inside the mitigator are catalysts in various shapes, developed by CNL, that detects and reacts hydrogen with oxygen (in air).<\/p>\n<p>Hydrogen in the air needs to reach a concentration of 4% by volume to become flammable. But even at a concentration less than 1%, hydrogen will automatically react with oxygen on the catalyst surface and generate water vapour.
